Ormrod has always been genuinely and actively interested in the development and use of new fuels. Since the mid 1980's we have pioneered the use of dual fuel generators from 500KW to 2.5MW to operate on landfill gas sites in the U.K.

The advantages of dual-fuel low-speed engines include the smooth running power output irrespective of the quality, quantities or types of fuel used. This is assured by the automatic self-adjustment of the fuel governors.

The dual-fuel engines that are supplied by Ormrod are already ideal in design as they allow the use of the "new fuels" which are produced by waste conversions, or from crops grown specifically as a renewable resource for power production.
